One needs to read Albarelli with caution. His documentation is inadequate and his claims are highly implausible. At the same time, he should not be lightly dismissed, as you have done. He's a dogged investigator and over a decade assembled a trove of memos and reports that others had assumed were destroyed. There may be no account of the Olson story that squares with these documents - which do seem authentic - that is NOT highly implausible, so take your pick. If you have a story that doesn't seem far-out and that is consistent with this evidence, present it!

the author of this article relies on two logical fallacies in attempting to show that the CIA didn't dose the townspeople: ad hominem and an appeal to incredulity. Just because your gut reaction is that it didn't happen doesn't mean that you're right. Have a little integrity and be logical.

I don't know if Mr. Albarelli is right, because we don't have access to the truth, but there is some evidence that from the 1940s through the 1960s, and even into the 21st Century, the CIA has played God, knowingly imprisoning and torturing innocent people in the misguided belief that their struggle against the Nazis, the Communists, and in today’s “War on Terror” justified their actions. In doing so, they have consistently demonstrated that they were/are no different than their enemy.

Good to see that Mr Albarelli is continuing his war against David elsewhere, however:
