		<description>I&#039;ve met McSmith a handful of times in social settings and he&#039;s decent enough and tells a few good stories.  But from what I can discern of his CV when matched against those stories, he&#039;s someone who spent Labour&#039;s years in opposition as a hard working press officer, made the switch into journalism and then watched others join the ranks of government while he just got to write about it.</description>
